JOS26 - The pre-show Beer & Curry event

It’s another Joy of Six post this week, so let’s get the Magic number out of the way, and it currently stands at #34360.

The Joy of Six weekend will see wargamers from all over the world descending on Sunny Sheffield for THE Premier wargaming event of the year.  Forget your Salutes and your Historicons and your Partizans.  They are mere 28mm infested shades of the Real Thing.  On top of that only JOS offers the pre-show just for 6mm enthusiasts!

Many of the visitors to our fair city can find themselves stuck in a hotel in an unfamiliar city on Saturday night, and so, as ever, we are arranging a social event where all the lost souls can get together with us and enjoy a convivial evening of social intercourse with fellow hobbyists while imbibing and eating.

This year, we are reverting to the old format of a good old Beer and Curry night.   We are in the process of booking places at Butlers Balti House.  It serves great food and is located just outside the City centre making it easy to get to without being packed with Saturday night revellers.

We need to let the restaurant know what the likely numbers are, so if you would like to join us, please let us know – email, phone call, conversation at a show or even a good old fashioned letter.  We always look forward to these pre-show Saturday nights, and they are always friendly and sociable – what better way to spend a few hours?
