The ‘We aren’t at Salute, so here is a sale to compensate but it’s a week late’, announcement!

I suppose that the title sort of destroys the sense of suspense, so let’s get straight in with this week’s magic number which stands at #34310.  But you really don’t want to know that, you need to know more about our unexpected show of generosity.

The truth is that Peter completely lost the plot last year and cocked up the booking for a trade stand at this year’s Salute.  We know from the emails and calls that a lot of you missed our presence at this prestigious event, including a couple who hadn’t heard the news that we weren’t there and spent the day in a forlorn Baccus hunt.  Sorry guys…

As for us?  Well, rather than spending a weekend travelling up and down crowded British motorways, staying at an overpriced hotel, eating expensive food, (don’t even mention the price of alcohol in London!), getting up at stupid O’clock in the morning and spending a day on our feet on hard and unforgiving concrete flooring, we decided to have a short family break at the Seaside.   Consider it our penance for not being at the show…

Now it does seem to be a tradition that those traders missing Salute run a compensatory sale over the weekend to make up for our absence.  Sadly, we were too busy stuffing our faces with delicious fish and chips, taking advantage of some wonderful unseasonal sunshine by the sea, enjoying Ice creams and playing a couple of rounds of Crazy Golf all the price of 4 hours parking at Excel, to actually organise a sale.  However, now Normality has kicked in and, with the memories of Sunny Cleethorpes fading into the sunset, we thought it was time to revert to tradition.

So, we will be running a flash sale from 10.00 am on Saturday 18th April until 10.00 pm on Sunday 19th April. (all good old UK time to those of you unfortunate enough to live in forrin parts).   During this period all prices on the Baccus site will be reduced by 10%.   There’s not a lot of time to take advantage of our decision to have a weekend off, so make the most of it!
