UNIFORM GUIDES FOR THE GREAT NORTH WAR AND THE WAR OF THE SPANISH SUCCESSION


Ever since I posted my information on the GNW Swedish army I have been asked to repeat the exercise for other nationalities. Unfortunately I have neither the time nor the expertise to undertake such a mammoth task. The result is this section of my site in which I invite you lot out there to let us all know what you know.

I am hoping that each nationality will attract a 'keeper'who will do the initial posting of the army guide and then be prepared to udpdate and amend as comments come in. This should become a forum for dissemination of information. It is not a playground for exercise of the ego or one-upmanship.

The great thing about the Net is that it allows people from different nationalities to pool information. Much of my info is from Anglo or easily accessible sources. I know that I have customers who have bought in this period from all across Europe and I hope that they will be able to enlighten us with facts that may seem trivial to them but are of great value to everyone else.

Do not worry if you do not know anything about graphics or web design. If you can handle a simple paint routine and word processor I will provide templates. All you will then need is a little time and effort. I am not looking for works of great depth or scholarship. These remain primarily painting guides for wargamers, and 6mm wargamers at that, so we do not need to know minutiae.

I am looking for someone to act as 'Keeper' for the Bavarian list so let me know.
At the time of writing I have volunteers working on Austrian, British French and Spanish sections. If you want to add to the effort then please contact me.
