Would egyptions, specificlly archers be good to represent Jewish revolt?

I would suggest the Greek light archers would be better.

I would second the use of the Greek figures.  The psiloi are great 'universal' proxies and appear in a number of unexpected places as various nationalities and ethnicities!

APE 9 - Chaldean archers - from the Achaemenid range might also be worth considering if you want to represent irregular Arab forces, eg Nabatean tribal elements; I suspect Nabatean regulars might be more hellenised in appearance and thus best represented by the Successor range.

I would agree that Nabatean regulars can probably be represented by careful selection amongst the Sucessor (or even early Roman range), but the impression I have is that the Arabs of this period and this part of the region were still mostly kilt and cloak style in clothing. I'm considering using some of the Moorish infantry or possibly some figures from the Biblical ranges for most of my Nabataean army (but I will probably change my mind before I get to start it......)
