TOPIC: Greeks |
Standard User Posts: 38 Gunnar 7th Dec 2015 02:35:44 I've just finished some Greeks, who will probably end up fighting each other during a Peloponnesian War campaign. More pics on my blog: https://hookisland.wordpress.com/2015/12/07/project-log-really-small-greeks/ Future additions will of course be made to flesh out the ranks (I've got some cavalry waiting in line, for example). This is my first 6mm project and I must say that I'm having a lot of fun with the totally different approach. Can't wait to get these guys on the table and play some games.

Standard User Posts: 38 Gunnar 7th Dec 2015 06:03:54 Thanks! Yeah, I've noticed that painting 6mm hoplite shields freehand is a bit of a chore so I'll probably go for some transfers for the next batch. |

Standard User Posts: 38 Gunnar 9th Dec 2015 06:44:19 Thanks! More to come! :) |
Very good painting and basing. A little goes a long way |
Standard User Posts: 38 Gunnar 20th Dec 2015 09:25:46 I finished some more hoplites, plus a couple of cavalry units. More pictures can of course be found on Hook Island! |
Standard User Posts: 38 Gunnar 30th Dec 2015 08:41:15 So the lads recently saw some action, using the Sword & Spear rules. More pictures and some thoughts on the rules are avaliable at Hook Island! |
Standard User Posts: 38 Gunnar 13th Jan 2016 01:02:42 Had another game of Sword & Spear the other day: A complete AAR, including more pictures, can of course be found on the blog. |
Standard User Posts: 38 Gunnar 24th Jan 2016 05:58:45 I've made some recent additions and am now "finished" with this army; it's perfectably suitable for Greeks vs Greeks battles and also for future mega battles against Persians or other foreign forces. This is my first 6mm army and I'm absolutely hooked on the scale. Now on to converting all those unbelievers at club... :P As always, more pictures can be found on Hook Island! |
