Polemos FPW Wars is divided into two complete rules sets. The first,
Commandant de Bataille, is for smaller actions or for
playing sections of a larger action in more detail. The second, Kommandant
der Armee, allows you to command large forces and play games
on a truely Epic scale!

Fighting alongside the Prussian army were a number of contingents
from the various German states who joined in an alliance against the French
following Napoleon III's declaration of war. These ranged from large, independent
forces fighting as a distinct body under their own Generals, such as Bavaria
and Saxony, down to single battalions and batteries subsumed into the Prussian
command structure such as Brunswick and Lippe.
Most of these national contingents can be represented using
the exisiting Prussian ranges as equipment and weaponry was increasingly being
standardised across the German states. This section lists the major allies and
shows which codes can be used to represent the major troop types. Painted examples
are shown of all these 'conversions by paint brush'.

The Baccus FPW Army packs are specifically designed for the Polemos
France Prussian War rules set. You get the correct numbers of strips
to make up complete bases, making them an easy and efficient way to build your
armies.
Each unit of Infantry consists of five strips of formed line infantry, one
of skirmishing infantry and one of command. Each unit of Jaegers consists of
five strips of formed line infantry, two of skirmishing infantry and one of
command. Each mounted unit consists of two strips of line and one of command.
The basic army packs will give you enough units to fight small battles, but
when you want to expand, you can do so efficiently with the booster packs.
