BADEN IN THE NAPOLEONIC WARS
Gary Clark
.
Baden had a Guard battalion and one Light infantry battalion.
There were four infantry regiments each of two battalions.
The cavalry consisted of a hussar and two dragoon regiments. The 2nd dragoon
regiment was formed after the 1812 campaign in Russia.
Baden artillery had one horse and two foot batteries. The helmet was worn
until 1814 when shakos were issued. The foot battery in Spain (3rd) may
have worn shakos.
