Standard User Posts: 3 archon6666 6th Sep 2020 07:43:42 i tried the caulk method but find that the curling on the sides was to much of a problem for my OCD. any ideas on keeping it from doing this? so i may give it another go |
Standard User Posts: 79 jon1066 7th Sep 2020 08:21:18 I can't help you with that as mine didn't curl on the sides. Perhaps too much water when flattening them? |
Standard User Posts: 73 gsayhi 6th Aug 2021 09:05:40 I'm on the cheap side. I get a yard of felt cloth, khaki or earth colored. I put lines of glue on to flock the sides and center to make the "ruts" stand out. I also get dirt gravel to flock with as well. looks good and felt holds well to my woodland scenes mat. |
Standard User Posts: 79 jon1066 25th Aug 2021 08:52:12 If you are going pre-internal comubstion engine there would be no grass down the centre. That style of road is very much a product of motor vehicles. The draught animals would churn the centre of a road so no grass. |
An interesting point I hadn't considered. Thanks for that. Will probably make my roads using the Little Wars TV method. A little goes a long way |
