- How to use shield decals? I bought Baccus hoplites and decals, but I need tutorial !

I have some to apply soon (when I've finally finished base-painting all the shields). It isn't something I've done in decades, and even then it was on Airfix vehicles!  Any tips gratefully appreciated.

It's been a while but when I did some 15mm figures (after they had been varnished).

1. Use warm water to let the decal come away from the backing paper (do each decal separately)

2. wipe the place where you want to put the decal clean of any dust or finger print 

3. keep the decal in there long enough to losen it from the paper. This will vary from decal to decal but usually anywhere between 10-30 seconds. 

4. hold the paper with tweezers and gently nudge the decal in place with a brush or tooth pick

5. gently press down and then outwards from the center to settle it (I use a small cotton bud)

Varnish first! I knew there was something I'd forgotten...  Cotton bud is also a good tip - thank you!

You forgot the cursing when it folds itself in half, or floats off into the water, or comes off with your cotton bud or infact sticks to anything but the figure!
