What a good straightforward guide. Excellent. I particularly like the way you urge people not to fret over minor details. The mass effect is the whole point of 6mm.

Just as a sort of idle question, does anyone have any ideas or tips for 'advanced' painting of 6 mm figures? 

I recall one suggestion a while ago (but cannot find it) of a black wash undercoat and then three dots of pale flesh on the face before painting but I might have misremembered.

So, does anyone have any ideas or can anyone comment on how much longer it would take to paint a unit?

My go to has been brown face, followed by the three dots for Europeans.

Yes, brown face (currently with a contrast paint) and then a dot of flesh on the nose and one dot on each cheek either side.
