Hi all

I'm putting together a WSS army but note no flags at all for the Garde Francais / Garde Swiss.  Given the early 1700's theme going on with GNR at the moment any hope that a sheet including them may be put together??  What do other folk think or any suggestions?  Just seems the French Guard turned up plenty of times and a shame to miss out on having them in the army for maybe that extra bit of quality.  Maybe?  I have wondered about a sheet of the generic white French colonels colours (with the gold cross outline) to use as substitutes for any regiments.  French with white flags?  Very long shot indeed but also any chance or suggestion of colours / flags for the Electorate of Colgone.  Seems their exiled regiments turned up pretty frequently with the Bavarians in French service.  My only thought at the minute was to substitute Bavarian colours as I think they were both Wittlebach family at the time??  Anyway, just thought I'd ask!  Thanks all!

There are Swiss Garde flags on the very last flagsheet in the early C18th catalogue, along with those for the Dutch and Scots Guards.

Many thanks for the reply.  I'd figured that they were only for units in Dutch Service i.e. the Dutch Guard and the numerous protestant Swiss units in Dutch employ.
