I really like the gunboat!  I'm toying with the idea to make an austrian river gunboat (Tschaika). The boat is not  the problem, but where to get the oarsmen?

Oarsmen - I am reflecting on the same issue, as I also need some smaller rowing boats for the assault party.  I have some ideas, I will post more on a future blog.

Rod Langton has some napoleonic ships in 1/300, and there are oarsmen mentioned in the descriptions. Maybe british uniforms, but there are no pictures.

Andros, I appreciate the Italian endorsement! molto grato!  As for more boat options, I have ordered 4 of the smallest Rob Langton boats, the Irregular Sailing and rowing boat, as well as the smallest viking boat from heroics and ros (under dark ages) - all for research purpose of course.  But more on this later...

Hi Per, great, I'm very curious! Especially about the langton boats and the oarsmen.

I have started building  one of his 1/300 boats, a greek trireme. The figures are very simple, so no baccus-standard, but the ship looks very good.

I will let you know, how do the figure scale in the ones you have seen compare to Baccus? Are they similar, or as I suspect smaller?
