| TOPIC: Napoleonic French Marshals |
I am currently working my way through the latest Bloody Big Battles scenario book - Dr Mark Smith's Napoleon's Bloody Big Battles. As a number of famous, infamous & obscure Marshals are required, I've put together some "personality" Command bases using the Baccus French Generals as a starting point. I hope that this inspires you to get some colourful leaders on the table, whatever rules you use! Cheers Colin https://colinthewargamer.blogspot.com/2024/12/command-control-napoleonic-marshals.html Edit - here it is as a link: https://colinthewargamer.blogspot.com/2024/12/command-control-napoleonic-marshals.html

This definitely needs to be in red to be clicked on. Typing this lot out will take ages and I have no idea how to get there otherwise. A little goes a long way |

Using Baccus French Generals as a base for personality Command figures is a fantastic idea to bring some vivid character and historical flavor to your games. For those interested, Napoleon's Bloody Big Battles is a well-regarded scenario book for the Bloody Big BATTLES! ruleset. It focuses on large-scale Napoleonic battles with units representing divisions or brigades and incorporates historically inspired modifiers like elite cavalry bonuses and horse artillery moving at cavalry speed. The scenarios, narrative, and army orders of battle help create immersive, strategic experiences on a manageable 6x4 foot table. Your approach to giving marshals distinct personalities through customized Command bases is a wonderful way to deepen immersion and encourage players to think about their commanders’ historical traits during gameplay. It’s an inspiring example for anyone who wants their Napoleonic battles to be more than just units on a board but vivid reenactments full of character! So the next question is: how do you post a link in red? A little goes a long way |
It's the third symbol from the left (looks a bit like a single chain link in the right hand box above your text when you popst on the forum. |
And why was there a link to a Polish website about measuring BMI? A little goes a long way |
