TOPIC: Posting photos from Flickr? |
I changed my account from Photobucket to Flickr since all the silly Photobucket kerfuffle. Since then I have built up some albums on Flickr and am having no problem posting to two other fora I regularly visit. However, I am struggling to post on this forum. I have tried embed and I have tried BBB code, neither of which work with a straight copy and paste. I have also attempted to adjust the codes when they arrtive on the Baccus site to the relevant bits between the [img] markers. This also does not work. Does anybody post from Flickr, and if so, how is it done? A little goes a long way |
A 15mm game using a friend's figures to see if this works. If successful I shall search out some Baccus stuff to drop . Nope, tried BBcode and deleted the irrelevant bits - result: blue square Nope, tried embed and deleted the irrelevant bits - result: blue square Let's try again without the [img] stuff ( the other sites I post photos to use these at each end of the string of meaningless letters and numbers and it works. Now I can't continue below the photo, but clearly no brackets at all are needed on this site. Thanks Alejo - my wargames room and torso! C A little goes a long way |
See if I can put an example clearer... I get a picture from flickr... thi is the BB code I am going to paste in the Baccus site: [url=https://flic.kr/p/MmTEyD][img]https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1841/29772464917_2642bf7dfe_z.jpg[/img][/url][url=https://flic.kr/p/MmTEyD]Soldats2015 35[/url] by [url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/154156138@N02/]Alejo Dorca[/url], on Flickr BUT... look what parts have to be deleted... it only has to remain the following: https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1841/29772464917_2642bf7dfe_z.jpg[/img by Alejo Dorca, on Flickr the relevant part is delete anything between brackets (square) except from https to img (I also delete their brackets... what is not between brackets it is not compulsory to delete). Incidentally if someone knows a site who wants customized Playmobils in the UK let me know please those are for sale... Custer's 7th at the LBH.

I really do it quite quickly by now... once you get the knack of it is quite simple. |
I too find it a lot quicker. Sadly my wargames room has had to be put to other use. A little goes a long way |
I am so sorry. Don't despair I had one who dissapeared too... now a bedroom... at least a 6mm wargame can be improvised nearly anywhere... cheer up! |
I discovered today that Flickr are going to start charging for those who have lodged more than 1000 photos with them. Unlikely to affect me but it does seem to indicate the way the wind is blowing. Although Photobucket are now offering some sort of free service again their photos now appear with Proudly hosted by Photobucket plastered across them. A little goes a long way |
