I have started my next projekt, Great War in Near and Middle East. Some Ottoman troops first, and the first bits of terrain:

A turkish regiment going over the top:

A bit of artillery (german 77mm):

And a bit closer:

Its a dark day today, the figures are less dark in real. Maybe I will do some pictures later with better light.

It is always hard to get the colour right but you have done very well! The details are clear. The light 'sand' makes for a very good contrast.

I think you have a fantastic Ottoman force! Coming along very nicely indeed and I like your buildings and trenches as well!

Thanks! The buildings are from Paper Terrain, by the way.

Are the trenches your own?

Through the travail of the ages Midst the pomp and toil of war Have I fought and strove and perished Countless times upon this star.
So as through a glass and darkly The age long strife I see Where I fought in many guises, Many names but always me.
So forever in the future Shall I battle as of yore, Dying to be born a fighter But to die again once more.

Very beautiful base color and tufts of grass and bush sparse are the most beautiful effect!

Thanks again!

Yes, the trenches are mine (you may look here: https://www.baccus6mm.com/forum/PaintingandModelling/Terrain/583-1-Trenches/ )

The old ones where too big for the tabel, so I cut them down by half - the new ones are already smaller.

Now I remember seeing them, I even bought washers to do my own. Still haven't got round to doing them. lol

Oh I know, its really not the most funny thing to do!

I'm toying now with the idea to make palm-trees for the mesopotamian campaign... that will be fun...
