Peter,

It is a great pleasure to read you and in fact We are very happy to accept this invitation !

we are preparing this reconstruction for December 2, 2020 ... for the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Loigny!

The museum of the battle is closed on winter but open especialy for the anniversary.... The Imperial Inquiry that arises for Us is "Should we reserve the first prize of Our Imperial Creation at the museum or test it before?

The second seems to be very interrestering... so it will be on july 2020 !

See you may be before... :-)

That is really quite something. I particularly like the dismounted dragoon with the map - presumably a Mecklenburger of the Grand Duke's detachment.

Much head scratching in the HQ camp whilst some wily Francs Tireurs nip round the back.

We want to start Our Bavarian but we are not sure about colors. it seems to be red parements for lines regiment and green for jaëgers. If you can help, or write to your blog the Our New Post :

Here's We visit the Army Museum in Paris ... beautifull and really big army museum from renaissance to modern period that you need to visit during Paris stay!

Thanks !

You are correct about the Bavarians - red for line (Leib regiment has white litzen on the cuffs) and green for jaegers.

With regard to terrain, Timecast, Leven and Total Battle Miniatures all do some terrific buildings suitable for later C19th northern France. Should you look at their sites, make sure you look at TBM's 6mm Skirmish range. Although designed originally for WWII they are eminently suitable for 1870, apart from the petrol station, and are absolutely beautiful models.

Tried to post a photo from my flickr account but it just doesn't want to know.
