That is really quite something. I particularly like the dismounted dragoon with the map - presumably a Mecklenburger of the Grand Duke's detachment. A little goes a long way |
Tanks dourpuritan ! But We are not sure this is the good map... :-) :-) :-) L'Empereur Béte et Méchant vous invite à visitez : Le Blog : https://lempereurzoom13.blogspot.fr/ & Le Projet 2020 : https://2020batailledeloigny.blogspot.fr/... Much head scratching in the HQ camp whilst some wily Francs Tireurs nip round the back. A little goes a long way |

You are correct about the Bavarians - red for line (Leib regiment has white litzen on the cuffs) and green for jaegers. With regard to terrain, Timecast, Leven and Total Battle Miniatures all do some terrific buildings suitable for later C19th northern France. Should you look at their sites, make sure you look at TBM's 6mm Skirmish range. Although designed originally for WWII they are eminently suitable for 1870, apart from the petrol station, and are absolutely beautiful models. Tried to post a photo from my flickr account but it just doesn't want to know.
