Hey all, I was thinking of doing a 1:1 scale battle of prestonpans.

For the Jacobite army, do you think think that the american revolution highlanders would work as the musket infantry? I'm not sure if they would be too modern. The ECW scot musketeers look a bit archaic to me, but I'm unsure. I was thinking of using SYW British for the government army, as thats the obvious choice. Any other ideas as to what figures I could use for the units? Thanks for the help :-)

The AWI Scots is a good call.  The Highlanders in the 45 were much more musket and bayonet than their ECW forebears.  There is a century between these conflicts and times did move on.

Cheers mate. I think for Prestonpans I could include some poorer equipped guys since thats when the 45 was just starting. By Culloden time they would be better equipped and more formed I imagine.
