Well beloved (but one), I guess it would be interesting to know if someone has ever converted any cavalry succesfully into French Spahis ... North Africa 1880-1910... Napoleonic Mamelukes?... Dervishes?... No idea at the moment... help apreciated. In this present case I don't want to bother Peter (currently in a WWII spree)... |
Sorry, I know no reference exists for Napoleonic Mamelukes... but someone could have found a proxie... do I say it?... a non Baccus altenative?... Arrrghhhh heressy!... stay with Baccus proxies please... no more reeducation camps for me... |
I had a look through the catalogue and the best bets look to be Bedouin cavalry from the Crusades and Mahdist cavalry from the Colonial section. Unfortunately they both seem to be carrying shields, which I know from experience can be very awkward to remove. A little goes a long way |
Thanks a lot... will take a look at the Bedouins... I agree about the shields... I missed your comments on my selfimposed isolation... |

By Jove!... I think Igor has found a good alternative!... GWT14 Arab Irregular Cavalry... You see at 67 I can not wait for Peter to fill gaps... that would be too long a wait and so much to do so little time is becoming truer by days! Thank you very much indeed!. |
Ordered. |
