You should also make sure to use Neil Thomas's One Hour Wargame Rules: only 6 units per side.

In 'the old days' (ie until March 2020) there were typically half a dozen of us round a wargames table, so Rule of 6 works for that too.

And only buy six-packs of beer..............................but you can buy six of them! (My university days iunvolved a certain amount of wargaming but with board games from Avalon Hill and the like, Squad Leader being a great favourite. Much beer was consumed of an evening and occasionally dirung a day (Princess Di's wedding day off being on such I remember. Squad Leader migh work quite well iwth 6mm figures if the hexagons were made slightly larger than on the original game boards.
