TOPIC: Napoleon at War v3 basing |

It won't shock you to learn that it's 6mm. I would very much like to use the Napoleon at War rules because the scale of the units and the ruleset (the first I played but not the first I looked at) appeals to me. Does anyone here use this ruleset and have some actual pictures of how they have based their minis? If not, what would help is the dimensions of the figure strips so I can work out how many I can fit on Napoleon at War size base and figure out the basing myself. The official base sizes are as follows: Infantry - 26(L)x32(W)mm (represents a company) Skirmisher - 30x15mm Cavalry - 45x40mm Artillery - 32x40mm Commander - 45x40mm Subcommander - 26x32mm Limber - 32x110mm Thanks |

Not sure why they are 26 mm deep but you can fit as many rows as you want (1, 2 or 3) Cavalry about 6 mm wide so you could fit 7 on a base if 45 mm wide. Each takes about 20 mm depth so you could have 1 or 2 rows though 2 may feel cramped 1 Gun and crew will fit easily onto a base, same for the limbers. One tip - vary the number of crew by the weight of the guns - eg 4lb 3 crew, 8 lb 4 crew, 12 lb 5 crew. Allows you to easily identify which is which. The limber length is very long so there would be room to fit the gun on there as well. |
