On Sunday we started a scenario based around the first use of tanks at Flers using Great War Spearhead 2. We got around halfway through and hope to finish it another time

Here are the scenario notes

Hurrah!

I'm working on some later French at the moment, still hoping to get some action in around Verdun before the end of the year...

I see Capt Blackadder and Baldrick have crashed in a trench. Send Capt Darling to the rescue.

Through the travail of the ages Midst the pomp and toil of war Have I fought and strove and perished Countless times upon this star.
So as through a glass and darkly The age long strife I see Where I fought in many guises, Many names but always me.
So forever in the future Shall I battle as of yore, Dying to be born a fighter But to die again once more.

Really inspiring. I especially like the one tank in Flers, very much the real thing :-) Are the buildings from PaperTerrain, with a little extra-interior?

My french and german armies are nearly done, but by now no trenches at all. Hopefully I will start my first battle at the end of the year.

Yes Paper Terrain buildings, well spotted. It was rather pleasing getting one tank into Flers :)
